Did a 60 foot bed of carrots in the next bed over. Also super easy.

After losing pretty much everything in that late frost, I'm experiencing a pretty good rebound. The squashes are now starting to come on strong. The tomato plants that survived have rebounded and gotten to good sizes, although they haven't started producing fruit. The beans are starting to shoot up and produce, as are the peas. The pumpkins are starting to really grow. The watermelons have finally started to grow.
The downside is that the carrots, onions, eggplant and fennel never restarted after I reseeded, and the peppers have been very slow to develop. I've got some garden rows to fill with late vegetables as a result. Suggestions for about 2 18 foot rows would be appreciated. |

All counties in Mo declared a disaster by USDA today.
Pastures are toast, ponds in bad shape. Garden has been watered but not much longer. Getting scads of tomatoes now. Really love Mortgage lifter for flavor and productivity. Cantaloupe were harvested today. Got 12 really nice ones.

All my turnips turned to mush and rotted in the ground after getting 4 days of rain down here in Nashville. Green bean crop is toast.
Still have some tomatos up, they loved the recent downpours we got. |

Wife is getting good cucumber and squash production. She got a few tomatoes but not many. They're pretty pissy about the heat. |

Congrats on the squash, my plants flowered but never produced. Pulled them up a couple of weeks ago and put in my pumpkins.

Squash bugs are a bitch ! Any suggestions on how to get rid of them. I've tried permectin and sevins dust and they seem to multiply faster.
