Man, if we actually end up with Painter, Anderson leaving will be the best thing to happen to Mizzou basketball in a long time.

Never in a million years did I think a young coach of Painter's caliber would leave his BCS conference alma mater to come to Mizzou.

Is that code for: "How much you gonna pay me?" I would think Alden and the agent had already settled most of that.

Otherwise, what's that mean? I think given the fact MU has a fairly new arena and other nice facilities, and is willing to pay him a top-10 salary, shows quite a commitment to basketball.

Maybe he means, "You gonna let me cut some corners on recruiting?"

If Painter is looking to turn the heat up on Purdue's AD and boosters, visiting Mizzou and touring the facilities is the way to do it.

Could also be a stall tactic to give Purdue time to come up with a new offer.
