Exactly. We need to develop guys who have a chance to really contribute at that position not a smurf who might get a few balls a game thrown to them taking up a roster spot there. RB. I don't care if he is listed at 3 or 4. But we need 6 or 7 WR's and not one at 5'7".

Move Thomas to RB and I think they add Kyle Williams and Frankie Hammond @ WR and keep 7. They really have some guys developing there and it's the reason they didn't draft any. If they feel they have the right guys coming along, they aren't going to let them go. I think they feel that way about Williams and Hammond too.

I think what Laz is saying is we displace our best player by keeping DAT at RB. There is no justifying taking Charles out for more than a breather and with DAT's skill set it is a waste to have him only come in to spell Charles.

They both need to be on the field together and you can accomplish that much easier by moving DAT to WR, which maximizes this offenses potential.

Once again, where DAT is doesn't affect how many WRs we keep.

Why do people try and make more of this than what it is?

He's got great potential to fill that Sproles type role with even more raw speed. That's what he is - a good pass catching HB with great return ability.

He's not a WR. He's not...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Jeez you guys bitch about dumb things. He will be put in the best spot to get us those home run plays. It's nice having a guy that is a threat to score at any time.

Is there a rule as to how many players you can carry at a certain position?

I don't quite understand the "if you have him at RB you can carry an extra WR" argument. If you wanted couldn't you carry 5 OL and 12 WRs? What difference does it make where he is labelled?

It's not whether they label him a RB, it's whether they are using him as a RB.

And people need to settle down. Jamaal took the highest percentage of his team's snaps of anyone in the league. DAT taking carries away from Jamaal is a really good thing.

I'd agree.

I want Charles for as many seasons as possible and not as many carries as possible...

Shit, we could carry 53 WRs if we wanted to.

WIlson doesn't have very good agility. He's massive... Dante Hall was pretty stout and so is Sproles but those guys are rare... Albert Wilson is a powerful guy with good burst and decent long speed...

Thomas has elite long speed, very good burst and probably elite agility.

people care more about arguing than understanding a ****ing point.

looking at this way, if Thomas ever has a RB carry for a 1st down you can bump this thread back up and jack off to it.
When did McCluster produce at WR?
