This discussion is probably the most overrated hot take about the draft there is. Good GMs find talent regardless of draft position. Now if you're talking about a generational player at #1 overall, then that's a different story. But teams like Baltimore and Pittsburgh find good players, QBs, WRs, DEs... no matter where they draft. It's why they are successful every year, while the Browns and Jaguars have spent a decade in the cellar despite picking high every single year.

In short, precisely what the **** are you talking about?
This is precisely what I have picked up from Dorsey and have stated in the past is who he is not talking to in public is who he likes and who does he like this year that is not on the invite list to Arrowhead?

I laughed at this when I saw this. Dorsey is at the end of the 1st round. He needs QBs he likes to slip. He's not going to tip his hand...never has

What are you babbling about?

EVERYONE knew they were going fatty with that pick. Reid said as much before the draft. That they picked the polka-dotted fatty over the striped one means jack-shit.

CLEARLY an alternate pick, as all the good receivers were gone.

Exactly what I said; they broadcast their every move and hide nothing.
My sources are spot ****ing on dude

This draft is too loaded with defensive talent for the Chiefs to package a bunch of picks to move up for a QB. Just not going to happen.

I have to really wonder why the Chiefs gave all that money to Berry since there is a ton of DB talent. Berry probably wouldn't have gotten that much on the open market with all the safeties available in the draft.

I'd say 'goodbye sorenson' as well but since Reid falls in love with players he will probably be kept too.

Reid loves the status quo.

Uh, no. Bridgewater's biggest red flag was that he had narrow knees and he was a huge injury risk. Lo and behold, one day in practice, his leg decided to turn itself into a pretzel.

Dak I can agree with, but every GM missed that one at least twice, so I'm not going to knock him for that.

Carr is really the only miss.

Excellent post. I'd also like to mention coaching plays a huge part too. Steelers and Ravens do a good job hiring the right HCs and coaching staff which plays a role in developing rookies.
