Eh. Then that would mean there's an extremely small number of QB gurus in the league. I mean, how many guys have developed multiple elite QBs?

Not many.

The term "guru" is used way too liberally IMO.

Andy Reid is a VERY good coach. QB whisperer he is not.

And using Kevin Kolb to try and argue that he is is ****ing hilariously stupid.

Exactly. I'm done arguing the semantics of a "QB guru". If htismaqe wants to be the owner of the definition, fine. And if that means only guys who have developed "ELITE" (another stupid, semantic term) quarterbacks, cool. I cave.

Plain and simple though, Andy Reid works well with quarterbacks.

I completely disagree with your definition of a QB guru then. Jim Mora must be a QB guru because he devleoped Peyton Manning, right? And Jim Caldwell has now had success with Peyton Manning AND Joe Flacco, so he must be a QB guru. And Tom Coughlin developed Eli so he's a guru.

The fact of the matter is that several coaches have been lucky to have certain QBs land in their laps. I do not think Kolb is anywhere near elite, but he made Kolb into a solid quarterback that played well within his system. That's what a QB guru does, he gets good play from the QB position. Andy Reid has consistently had that during his head coaching tenure.

Serious question: If Andy Reid doesn't qualify, who are the quarterback gurus in this league?

None of those guys needed developing so all of those names are completely irrelevant.

I'm not even gonna respond to the rest of it. It's not worth arguing about because neither of us is going to change our mind.

If you think Kevin Kolb had the potential for an elite QB, I don't know what to tell you. That's even more stupid.

I was actually not high on Kevin Kolb at all at the time and thought that AZ was dumb to trade for him. I was simply stating I thought he played well under Reid. He had his good games and bad games, but as it stands, he was just pretty meh.

He showed something that AZ wanted though. Who knows.

Arizona was desperate. The were dealing with post Warner/Leinart fallout.
