I'm not blaming you. It was just your word choice that sent me off on that.
I take no issue except the exact premise many people like you are taking is that you believe you are already correct becaue what has happened since 1983 effects the 2013 draft.

Fact is it doesn't. The people in charge now have no connection to the last 30 years. Period.

The fact YOU cant see that doesn't make me an idiot. Quiet the contrary.

I dont argue that but bitching about the past doesn't effect the future.

Paying way too much in trades for shitty backup QBs, however, does.

It's only a second round pick right? In a couple years we can trade him for a fullback. It's all good

Weak sauce. Are you tied to every KC Chiefs 2nd round choice?

Without Google who did we draft in the second round in 2010?

We traded a 2nd rounder in a draft where that pick was EXTREMELY valuable, in addition to a 3rd or another 2nd next year.

For a guy who has never thrown for more than 17 TDs in a season.

Has been benched a ****ton of times.

Has only been playing halfway okay football for two years out of the 6 previous ones in which he sucked dicks.

Gets injured all the time.

Came from a system where he was told to not do too much and going to a system and a coach where he'll be the star of the show.

So yeah. I don't know that we paid too much. But if we didn't, you have to admit that his rise out of mediocrity that we need him to perform would be completely unprecedented. We're talking Rich Gannon Raiders/Kurt Warner Cardinals/Drew Brees Saints kind of unprecedented.

Basically if the world gets shocked then we didn't pay too much.

Terrific.

Awesome, how many games has he lost for the Chiefs?

How many people were happy we traded a 1st for Trent Green?

**** I was livid after Green's first season.
