Im pretty happy about this. Jenkins offered nothing aside from a would-be big play that ended with him surrendering a sure TD by running out of bounds of his own volition.

Avant knows the offense, and moreover, is pretty damned sure handed. Id really like to see what the details of his signing are, but I have to believe that this just made the offense better. Hell, he cant be any worse than AJ Jenkins at worst.

It would be great to have another receiver out on the field that could compliment Bowe, and perhaps even take some of the attention off of him. He should fit right into this offense and hopefully be able to contribute against the Broncos.

If anything it will be refreshing to see a WR that actually catches passes that Alex puts right on him.

He has his problems, but that isnt one of them IMO.

I actually don't care whether they showboat or not. But i do remember an article years ago about Gonzalez taking bowe aside and showing him some tricks of the trade and it being huge for a young bowe.

And yes I realize they have wr coaches. I'm an apprentice electrician and I've got two teachers, but they haven't showed me half of what a good journeyman wireman has.

Not just drops either, but Alex deciding to tuck it and run rather than try to buy time for a pass to a dude he doesn't trust to catch the damn thing anyway. Alex is not going to make a decision that puts the football in danger of going over to the other team. He's just not that guy. He'll run for the first, or get obliterated trying to evade the rush before he'll just put it up to a guy that doesn't catch the damn thing in the best of circumstances.

Its a tough concept to understand for some.

As long as this groin deal doesnt steal any of his speed, I wouldnt mind having him back in the corp next year, just not as a #2.

Based on the surgery he had, he's supposed to be out 2 weeks to 2 months max. I'm surprised he's not back yet. But should be very soon.
