With the aimless, listless direction this team has shown since the Rams game I'd say he should go regardless of final record.
The captain steers any ship. This boat is rudderless. |

My first hope is that we win the rest of our games this year and Gunther comes back next year and wins the Super Bowl.
Then I think reality. I will never, EVER cheer for my guys to lose a game, I don't care how bad they are or the coaches are. But I do hope we finish the year 3-0 and every coach gets fired, as oxymoronic as that may sound... |

Going on a winning sreak and finishing at 8-8 is the worst thing that can happen to the Chiefs right now.

Why would we want to go 8-8? We might as well go for a better draft pick and a 4th place schedule next year.

Appreciate the replies but I must disagree with a few statements.
I never "play for the draft." I don't want my team to lose games in order to maybe pick up a blue chipper from FSU. Never boo the home team. I think that shows lack of class. Get annoyed, frustrated, vocal - all those elements are part of the passion of being an NFL fan. But not booing the "homies." I still want to win as many games as possible. It's all about pride this time of the year. Thanks JM |

I root for the Chiefs to win every week, but a decent pick in 2001 would be nice.

Problem is, the draft strength this year is average at best. Not many potential superstars, if any this year.

7-8 now. Don't give up the ship. Although, I don't think it will save Gunny's job, but it would be nice to see the team take something positive into the off season. We can beat the hapless Falcons, can't we?

If Gun gets fired, the team can take that poitive into the off season, but I think Gun will be back next year.
I hope that I am wrong. |
