I almost bought one of these, don't know if it's the Nyko one or not.
Mine is sitting upright in an open space, and I touch it pretty frequently after playing and it never feels hot. I've also got the bottom sitting on a couple of note pads so there's about a half inch of clearance on the underside and at least a foot on all the other sides. I think you're ok if you don't have it boxed inside an entertainment center or something. I wish they would make the disc drive not sound like a jet engine on takeoff, though. |

I've never heard of that, but I had heard it messes up the unit's built in fans. Looks like it really fugs your system up now too. I was thinking about buying one. Glad I didn't.

Yeah, there is alot of bad things about that intercooler. I have a newer xbox, and mines doesnt seem to run hot. In the summer though, i am going to have a house fan on it when i game.
