Sprint Power Vision Phone

I've got a new Sprint phone and it's pretty damn neat. You can go to ESPN.com, NFL.com, Fox Sports.com, etc.. and you can even sit there and watch NFL Network if you wanted. I tried to go to CP and while it opens up the page, it won't let you click on forums and have The Lounge pull up. Does a website have to be formatted a certain way to be fully functional from a phone? I never thought I would use all the internet stuff on the phone when I got it, but it's so damn handy I use it all the time.

A lot of the phones use WAP, I believe, and there is nothing like that for vB as far as I know. I would love to be able to set it up, but there doesn't seem to be a good way to pull it off.

I have the same, I have the A900 Blade I believe is what it is called. Don't waste your time with their "browser" on there. The WAP browser is POS. I downloaded the opera mini browser and I have been happy ever since. I have posted many times from my phone onto Chiefsplanet and it works great. http://www.operamini.com Just follow the directions and you are home free. I am a moron and I could do it. I'm telling you, it's bad ass, it's not watered down internet and I can go to ANY website.

I have Spring, and can't get reception in my family room in Prairie Village. Will be switching soon.

Did you know that Opera has a beta version of their browser that will let you flip it sideways on your phone like the iphone does? I'd keep an eye out for that one when they are done with it.

Yeah that is the same phone I have and I love it. If it had a larger memory or an external memory card it would be the perfect phone. I'll try downloading that. I appreciate the help.

I use OperaMini on my phone. M-610. Great phone!

Also, if you have trouble with reception in your house, you can buy a repeater. Some homes are in grey areas- which given their location simply have trouble carrying a signal thru the entire house. My parents house is stucco- which also adds to the problem of poor signal. My mom, dad, and I all have different service providers, and when I visit them- I will get phone service in a few rooms, and my mom would get some in a few others, and my dad in other rooms. Just kind of weird. But a repeater would pull a weak signal from outside and and definately give you plenty of reception in your house.

I love Sprint, and besides my parent's house, have never had a problem with their service otherwise. Not to mention my plan is loaded and I pay next to nothing for service. Which is why if I ever did move somewhere where my signal was weaker, I would buy a repeater b/c for what I pay and have on my Sprint service it would cost me probably 4 times as much now to switch to anyone else.

I have the same phone. The only thing wrong with the phone is the pathetic battery life. So I have a 2nd one always charged. I also dl the opera mini. Works great.

Yeah the battery life is horrible. I've thought about buying the bigger battery but just haven't done it yet. So once you download the opera mini does it just work on its own or do you have to pull that up when you go to get online? I can't check it at the moment because I've got no service where I'm at.

It's under applications. Just open it up and surf away. I haven't been able to find an extended battery. Where are you looking?

I used to have T-Mobile but my brother works at Sprint now so I'm on his plan for only $15 a month. Kind of hard to bitch about that. If I'm on the road or out and about I never have a dropped call and full signal, but in my house or office it's shitty. Kind of ironic to that it doesn't work at my office because the Sprint campus is right across the street

It may have something to do with the 15,000 phones on the Sprint campus, LOL!

I saw one at Sprint.com under A-900 accessories. I just went and looked on E-bay and they are all over. I don't know how much longer they last though. They are bigger which doesn't bother me. I think I'm going to get me one today.
