Injury History
Size
A top prospect with body control and rare quickness. Explosive athlete who converts quickness to power. Can split a double team block, range to make plays and when he ripped and countered on his pass rush was virtually impossible to single block. Loved his intensity level , quicks, strength and know how. Plays on his feet. Drive through tackler. Was injured for much of the 2007 season, but has rare playing skills. Starts on day number 1.

Round 1 (#17) OT Chris Williams

Position: OT
Date of Birth: 08/26/1985
Class: RS - Senior
High School: Catholic Junior HS Boys

2008 Scout.com NFL Draft Rankings (full list):
Pos: OT Pos Rank: #2 Pos Rating: *****
Biography: 2006: Developed into the Commodores' top offensive lineman and one of the premier tackles in the Southeastern Conference... League coaches tabbed Williams as a postseason second team All-SEC recipient... In postseason ceremonies, earned team's Most Valuable Offensive Lineman Award from coaching staff... Started every game protecting quarterback's blind side at left tackle, running his consecutive start streak to 21 games... Constantly earned unit's top blocking grade... Shared team Offensive Player of the Week honors with receiver Earl Bennett following performance in win over Temple, then shared the same recognition with QB Chris Nickson following narrow loss at Kentucky... Earned the team offensive award outright for his performance in season finale versus Tennessee... After allowing one quarterback sack in the opener at Michigan, did not allow another in the final 11 games.

Round 2 (35) DE Quentin Groves

Ht: 6-3 Wt: 252 40: 4.43
Position: DE
Date of Birth: 07/05/1984
Class: Senior
High School: Greenville HS
(Greenville, MS)
College: Auburn

2008 Scout.com NFL Draft Rankings (full list):
Pos: DE Pos Rank: #4 Pos Rating: *****

Scout.com Player Evaluation:
STRENGTHS
Athleticism
Explosion
Speed
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
Size
Has had some off field issues which will need to be addressed. Former OB. Lean looking cut up athlete. Has a hot and cold playing motor. Undersized to factor as down linemen full time(not good match up)and needs space to operate, but has rare take off skills and the ability to close on the football. Excellent playing range. Can retrace his steps and run down the ball carrier from the backside. Was run at some. Late 1st round draft consideration.

Round 3a (66) Antoine Cason Cornerback
Height: 6-01/4 | Weight: 191 | 40-Time: 4.52

Official Bio

Strengths:
Good athleticism...Decent size with long arms...Excellent instincts, anticipation and awareness...Playmaker with terrific hands and ball skills...Is quick and plays faster than he times...Very aggressive...Good technique and footwork...Does a solid job of supporting the run...A reliable tackler...Pretty tough...Smart, a hard worker and a leader...Very productive...Confident and has a short memory...Terrific bloodlines.

Weaknesses:
Does not have great timed speed and lacks a burst...Will have to get stronger...Is not overly physical...Struggles to recover when beat...Hips are not very fluid...Has trouble taking on / shedding blockers...Probably won't be an ideal fit for everyone.

Round 3b. (73) WR jordy Nelson

Ht: 6-2.5 Wt: 217 40: 4.51
Position: WR
Date of Birth: 05/31/1985
Class: RS - Senior
High School: Riley County HS
(Riley, KS)
College: Kansas State

2008 Scout.com NFL Draft Rankings (full list):
Pos: WR Pos Rank: #10 Pos Rating:
Strengths:
Has excellent size and bulk with a solid frame...Very productive...Has soft, reliable hands...Shows terrific body control and ball skills...He's more quick than fast...Can run after the catch a bit...Smart, hard working and tough...Still has a little upside.

Weaknesses:
Does not have great timed speed and lacks a burst...Is not much of a deep threat and won't stretch the field vertically...Is just a slightly above average blocker...Still relatively new to the position & must work on mastering its techniques / nuances.

Notes:
Began his college career as a defensive back and only moved to wide receiver in '05...In high school he won state titles in the 100, 200, 400 and long jump...Had a huge senior campaign and really gave his draft stock a boost...Profiles as more of a possession guy in the NFL but could surprise if he can run better than expected.

Round 3c. (82) Terrence Wheatley Cornerback
Height: 5-95/8 | Weight: 187 | 40-Time: 4.37

Official Bio

Strengths:
Very fast with good quickness and a burst to close...A fantastic athlete with great agility...Smooth with fluid hips...Playmaker with good hands and ball skills...Smart with good instincts...Physical and always plays hard...Has special teams potential.

Weaknesses:
Does not have the ideal size or bulk that you'd prefer...Needs to get stronger...A marginal tackler...He'll struggle when matched up against big pro wideouts...Has some pretty serious durability and health concerns...May not have a lot of upside.

Notes:
His father, Randolph, ran track at Arizona State...He was plagued by a wrist injury that required multiple surgeries early in his career...Probably profiles as more of a nickel or dime guy at the pro level...Good cover guy with solid intangibles who will be held back by his size...Will enjoy a nice career as a backup and special teamer.

alright people ...... make it happen!!!

Sorry, but it's a pretty decent draft, though I don't like Wheatly all that much, and don't see Chris Williams lasting until 17 and Cason until 66 respectively.

If it did fall like this, though, I'd be pretty happy.
