It's a video......but the Falcons trade up to #1 to take Clowney. The Texans get Bortles at #6. The Chiefs trade UP from #23 to #21 to get Brandin Cooks in front of the Eagles. Beckham went to the Jets. The Eagles than took Marquise Lee. |

Pretty ballsy and conceivable move by the Falcons.
That's pretty much what they'd have to do. Edit: To get Clowney, that is. They could save their ammunition and just move up a spot or two for Mack. |

The Browns have up a 3rd in 2011 to move up something like four or five spots for Phil Taylor. It was about this point in the 1st round.
We ended up taking Baldwin after the move down. |

Looks like in 2012.....
The Eagles moved up from 15 to 12 and only gave up the #114 and #172 picks. That's obviously higher than we're at. In 2010 the Broncos traded up from 24 to 22 and gave up #113 to do it. |

Looking at the trade value chart.....a move up from #23 to #21 would require 40 points which would be equal to a very late 4th or high 5th.

Honestly, I find it hard to stomach giving up picks when we have so few picks to begin with. If we were to make a move, I would hope to go big or go home. Jump into the top ten if someone really great falls, which seems plausible. If Mack or Barr are there at ten, I think you have to seriously consider moving up. I also like the value at 10 of getting a 5 year deal with the rookie, which also helps spread that cap hit.

You don't want to stomach giving up picks but then you want us to trade a metric SHIT TON of picks to move up to #10 to take a player that wouldn't be a starter from the get go. We really wouldn't have to give up a pick to move from #23 to #21. You just swap 4ths with the Packers and move on. |

Additionally, I would try to finagle it so we were trading 2015 picks to move up. I really like some of the late round picks available in this draft. Then I would try to trade Hali on draft day to acquire a second round pick this year. If that didn't work out, I would wait til after the draft to trade him for a pick in '15. This would enable us to free up some cap space to lock up Houston. That is five more years of having two (hopefully) amazing edge-rushers. |

In 2010 the Broncos traded up from 24 to 22 and gave up #113 to do it.
So, the Chiefs would have to give up a high fourth? |
