If guys like Eli and Stafford deserve a tier 2 designation, so does Alex Smith
It just easy to overlook him because he lacks the sexy arm, but Manning doesnt exactly possess a cannon either And in spite of his arm, Stafford has yet to win a playoff game |

I don't agree with these rankings. Although, I do like seeing Sanchez at 31. Is Gabbert still Tier 4? I thought he was turning his career around last season in San Francisco. I would at least bump him up to the low end of tier 3 at this point. I think Carr is about right, but I wouldn't put him above Smith just yet. Easy 6 is right. Smith should be there with Stafford and Eli and the Ginger. Hard to believe the Kaep has dropped to tier 4. I bet that changes under Kelly

Stupid. Smith is a better player than Carr and Winston for god's sake. That list is just about stats. It doesn't take into account leadership, grit and the ability to move the chains with your feet. Flacco is a loser that had 1 month of greatness.

It's a bummer to see that Denver is moving up in the quarterback rankings from last year.

These kinds of polls are maddening.
Here's the criteria for the tiers: Tier 1: Can carry his team each week. Team wins because of him. Tier 2: Can carry team sometimes but not as consistently. Tier 3: Legit starter but needs heavy run game/defense to win. Tier 4: Might not want this guy starting all 16 games. Tier 5: Do not think this guy should be starting. shEli has never carried her team w/o a heavy run game/defense. Never!!! NEVER!!!!!!11!!!!1!!!! |
