We need to draft better

Here are our top draft picks under DV.

7 Defensive Players (4 are D linemen)
2 Recievers
1 Running back

Of the 7 Defensive players 2 are no longer with the team because they were cut. Of the 3 offensive players, One was cut, One is hurt, and the other is our 3rd string RB.

I see two problems.
For the past 4 years we have drafted a lot of Defensive Linemen, and have very little to show for it. By focusing so much on one position, we have no developing top talent at any other position.

Second Problem, drafting a running back in the first round was a huge mistake. Event if it were a WR, or OT, but we got a #1 draft pick sitting on his ass and can’t event get on the field when Holmes is out.

I think this has, far, far, far, far, faaaar more to do with our struggles than any "big name" free agent that we didn't break the bank on....
