I have a lot of respect for Herm in one aspect, he went out and convinced the owner to do the very thing that would cost him his job, because it was the proper way to do things. He gets a pat on the back for that, right before he gets a kick in the butt for his piss poor coaching.

The front office has to sell hope in the off season, and keeping everything status quo will result in a HUGE drop in season ticket holders in time for a new Arrowhead. Clark can't have that, so he's going to have to make the move. I'm sure he'd like to keep Carl around to open the stadium, but he'll probably do something else, like put him in the Chiefs hall of fame for the opener or something.

If he's been fired I actually bet he'd get a huge round of applause when they announce him as 'former' GM and President of the Chiefs.
