Who do you want as your next head coach?

Who would you like to see in KC?

I'd personally like to see Steve Spagnuola.

Those are the names that are mentioned most around here.

Newsflash: NONE of them are coming here.

That leaves retreads like Brian Billick or Mike Nolan - or someone that 95% of the board has never heard of.

So far, the only guy that's been mentioned around here that makes any sense whatsoever is Jim Schwartz.

He's young.

He got his start under Belichick.

He believes in physical, smashmouth defense.

He has personnel experience.

I bet the 49ers are kicking themselves for picking Mike Nolan over Schwartz in 2005.

He's a guy that has to be on the list, and the top of the list at that.

I get why you crossed everyone else off the list, but I don;t get why Spagnoulo is crossed off.

Is there a reason he wouldn't come to KC?

Just being realistic.

He's the highest paid DC in football, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him be the defensive equivilent to Jason Garrett.

He took his name out of the ring for the Redskins job that was his for the asking.

Regardless, I find it highly unlikely he'd come here, or even be a candidate.

OK, thanks.

He'd be a great choice if we could pry him away, but I'm with you on Swartz.

Maybe we could hire Mike Reinfeldt as GM and bring in Swartz.

He announced tonight that he will step down at the end of the year. Unfortunately it's necessary. I've been in his camp until the Arizona game this year. Now it's painstakingly obvious that it's time to try again. It'd be nice to see Jim Mora Jr. defect from the Hawks and take the job.

People might think it would be crazy for him to pass up an NFL job for the Husky job, but he got fired in Atlanta for lobbying for that job on a radio show. It's his alma mater and in his own words, his "dream job". He's set up to take over the HC job for the Hawks next year but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him say **** it and take the Husky gig. I have no doubt it's his if he wants it. I hope he does.
