And if they lose to Mizzou in the championship game you would see Texas playing for the National Championship without even competing in their league championship game. There are a lot of scenarios left that are pretty screwed up. But then again, this is the BCS.

They should be. Alabama has had the perfect schedule. They play fraud teams just before the world realizes it. Then everyone just remembers that they beat a "great" team.

They went from 25 to 13 after beating a "great" Clemson (ranked 9 at the time, now unranked) team that is now 6-5 in week 1.

Then they beat #3 Georgia by 11. Georgia is a good team (Currently ranked 13), but that win looks nothing like it did at the time. Suddenly, Alabama is #1 in the country.

Then Alabama cements itself as #1 by beating #16 LSU in overtime. LSU is in a freefall, and Alabama really hasn't played a very good team since week 5. Since then, they have squeaked by against 3 teams that are currently unranked (Mississippi by 4 at home, Kentucky by 3 at home, and LSU in OT.)

Florida is going to pound them.

so by that logic, there should be no rankings; just pick the two 'best' teams after the season is over. 'Bama beat Cleamson on a neutral site (and I thought they moved from #23 to 19..but I may be wrong on that); beat #3 Georgia at Georgia; beat LSU in Death Valley (first time in ages)....plus played well at home etc.

So, at the time they were big wins, but now they're not.
Ok. Just play the season THEN rank everyone.

True enough but I am talking about not just not winning the Big XII, I am talking about not even being in that game. That is pretty messed up, IMO.
