Would Pioli trade for Anquan Boldin?

http://deadspin.com/5134539/super-bo...-anquan-boldin

Quote:
Wearing a lime-green shirt, Boldin tried to bolt for the stadium exit before a small group of media caught him. Someone asked if reaching the Super Bowl eases what has happened between him and the franchise. "That's not an issue," Boldin said. "Like I told you guys at the beginning of the season, my main goal was to do this. I've come through with all of my promises. I fought. I gave my heart to this organization. It's paying off." Does he want to stay in Arizona? "Next question."
Okay, I know Boldin is too close in terms of style to Bowe, BUT. He's definitely an elite, Pro Bowl talent. I mean, he came back from that crushing hit against the Jets without missing a beat. Would Pioli consider taking a chance on Boldin (the same way he took a chance on Moss) in order to have an instantly improved receiving corps? You would have Boldin at #1, Bowe at #2 and maybe a rookie speedster in the slot. Fitzgerald and Boldin are kind of similar, and somehow the Cardinals had success with those two.

Thoughts?

I would not go so far as calling Boldin's actions on the sideline during yesterday's NFC Championship game theatrics. He was not pulling a TO "throw me the ball more" theatrics. He was pissed because he was not on the field at the end of the game(at least that is what is being reported here in AZ). The guy is an absolute beast after the catch. He plays WR like a RB on every play. I think it is ridiculous calling him malcontent over his actions on the sideline yesterday, he simply wanted to be on the field. Granted, he wants a contract which he will likely get in the off-season. He was told by the team in the pre-season when this first came up that they would sit down together after the season and discuss his contract.

Back on point though, I love watching the guy play, but I would not give up what the Chiefs would likely have to in order to land Boldin. He gives 100% on every play he is out there, but the way he plays leads to him continually getting injured, both minor and more significant in nature. I believe he was on the injury report almost every week this season.

Most players hate Todd Haley so...Boldin going off on him isn't anything new.

But no you won't see that because they could get a 1st round pick for Anquan Boldin. Boldin wants out and then at a key moment they don't have him on the field so he's pissed.

Picks for trades, not trades for picks. Trade after draft day.

I can't wait till people hate players on the Chiefs who become good...I know it's coming the WR hate on this forum is strong.

Actually it comes down to players with personality provided that personality isn't being a drunk then it's ok.
