Misc Any CP Bob & Tom fans? - Page 4

At one of the radio stations I work with, we're thinking about adding the Bob & Tom show. If you listen to them currently, or have in the past, I'd like to get your input. What do you like about the show? What DON'T you like?

about 10+ years ago I listened to them on a consistent basis... then I caught on to the canned laughter... can't listen to more than a minute now before the station gets changed.

once Harry Carey died and Jeff George left football, they had no material left...

I've only heard them in clips on Mike Birbiglia's site. Birbiglia was the only funny guy, of course.

The good, the first time a bit is played. The Pinckley Taurus car commercial was a classic, Hillary Clinton's Clintorious perfume was pretty good too.
The bad, when it's played again and again and again, with the same laughter from the initial airing.
B&T's laugh isn't as infectious as Artie/Robin/Takei's or Tom and Turbrock's here in Big Derrty.
They're really good to listen to for a while, then lay off for a while while hey recycle, then come back when they've got new material.

They're OK if you don't have anyone else to listen to.

When I lived in Pensacola, They dropped Lex, and Terry, for Bob, and Tom, and people went nuts. Lex, and Terry were back on, and laughing about it in a month.

Lex, and Terry will always be my favorite, and they are the favorite of just about anyone who has listened to then for very long. They Rule.

I made the mistake of listening again.

I alternate between espn and mancow depending on whichever station is in commercial.

They used to have bob and tom though and I was listening to them on the way in to work when 9/11 happened.

I heard them when I was back home visiting. Small market "talent" at best. Thank god for Sirius.
