Reason we couldn't run the ball effectively last season?

we weren't a team with a vertical passing game? Opposing defenders played closer to the line right?

Let me explain.

Herm not only ran into 8-9 man fronts but wouldnt deviate his playcalling enough to stop attacking the right a gap when we were clearly outmatched when doing so. Foolish.

We ended with the second highest per carry average rushing in the NFL (according to nfl.com), so we were productive, just not consistant.

Having Haley instead of Herm and Goff inwtead of Jones should help us return to having an effective and productive rushing attack.
Nonsense.

The Chiefs have a center who is too tall for the position and a right tackle who isn't strong enough to play the position. Mike Goff will help, but it's not going to take away our complete inability to run to the right side.

And given that our protection will probably be just as spotty as last year, I can see Haley being forced to run more shotgun sets. And if he runs more shotgun sets, LJ is not going to fare well.

Our run offense is probably going to be mediocre this year. I'm fine with that, but we have to be realistic.

Niswanger isn't too tall, he just isn't strong enough and/or doesn't know how to use leverage well properly.

I may be wrong, but didn't it seem that the Chiefs moved the ball well in the first half most of the games and even had the lead going into halftime? It seems that they couldn't do shit in the second half though and blew games they could have won.

... because we aren't very good? hmmm... I should be more specific. We lacked the players, coaches, and game calling to field an effective offense?
