Zicam warning - sorry if a repost

I have an old HS friend that is a pharmacist that sent this to me in an email. I shared it with my friends and family and had 4 hits in the first 20 minutes that those 4 had experienced the burning and loss of smell and taste.

I figured I'd share it so anyone that isn't aware might be able to choose not to use the product.

Here is the text of the first response I got:

…..I am one of these people. My experience is very similar to the account below.

I used Zicam about 2 years ago. I haven’t gone to the doctor yet….but it has “altered” my sense of smell.

My ability to smell has diminished. Some things (for instance coffee, diesel fumes, and other things) smell like Jack Link’s Steak Nuggets.

I used the Zicam RapidMelts and tablets that you put in a glass of water as well as the Nasal Gel and Nasal Swabs.

I think there is a Class Action suit that someone has filed. I guess I need to follow up and go to a doctor.

I’ve threw all my Zicam away when I first heard about this.

Oh wait, I'm just using the melting tabs, not the nose swabs...jesus, I hope I can still taste when this is all over...
