Life Zicam warning - sorry if a repost

I have an old HS friend that is a pharmacist that sent this to me in an email. I shared it with my friends and family and had 4 hits in the first 20 minutes that those 4 had experienced the burning and loss of smell and taste.

I figured I'd share it so anyone that isn't aware might be able to choose not to use the product.

Here is the text of the first response I got:

I used Zicam about 2 years ago. I haven’t gone to the doctor yet….but it has “altered” my sense of smell.

My ability to smell has diminished. Some things (for instance coffee, diesel fumes, and other things) smell like Jack Link’s Steak Nuggets.

I used the Zicam RapidMelts and tablets that you put in a glass of water as well as the Nasal Gel and Nasal Swabs.

I think there is a Class Action suit that someone has filed. I guess I need to follow up and go to a doctor.

I’ve threw all my Zicam away when I first heard about this.

I've done a little bit of work on the new Zicam mass torts litigation.

The first one was more interesting from a novelty standpoint. Zicam used to be delivered in a spray bottle. If you sat the bottle on a table, you could should the Zicam all the way to the ceiling. It used an incredible amount of force, and a lot of people thought it was the delivery mechanism that was causing the problems because the science on the Zinc ingredients hadn't caught up yet.

Depends, I suppose. They could be ejected wholesale out of that aircraft...

I wonder where they might land and if they'd be safe, if that were the case.

Oh, if only there were *someone* could create some sort of computer program to tell me where on earth my family might land...
