What is your best Bargain?
I vowed a while back to never pay full price for anything. I love to haggle. I will always ask for a discount. I am never rude or unreasonable. I just know that there is always a better price available.

Today:
I purchased a brand new 30 in Electrolux Gas Wave Range for $1000 dollars with free delivery and hook-up from Best Buy. It was a clearance item that was originally priced at $2399 clearance price was $1499. I was able to talk them down $499. Best Price I found was $1999 on-line.

My favorite is the people that look for the cheapest gas in town. Congratulations on driving across town to save .60 on gas. My time is worth more than that to me.

Zach, Maybe I should have put a disclaimer in the first post that had a dollar amount. I usually stick to big ticket items when haggling. I agree that it can be a waste of time(i.e. the gas statement), However pennies can add up to dollars pretty quickly.

I got a few nice pairs of shorts from this little shop in KC the other day. Price at $18 a piece, got four pairs and some nice shades for 25 bucks. Felt good.

Yeah I've done some serious damage at Dillard's in my lifetime. The best week to go is the first week after Christmas. Everything in the freaking store is on clearance.

It'd have to be my 67 Monaco, bright red with spotless black interior & top & only one half dollar size rust spot on a rear qp & a 383 with the legendary Torqueflite transmission. 33,000 original miles. Got her for $2200, engine needed a bit of work but it could still roar & really get it for such a big car, man... that bitch was stylin.

My cousin lives in Dover, Missouri, 2 years ago he was working on an old ladies house when he asked what was under the tarp in her barn. She said some old car of her late husbands.

He looked under the tarp and offered her $7000 dollars. She jumped on it and he drove away in a 57 Ford Fairlane with 37,500 original miles.

Great stories like that are getting fewer & fewer as more people become aware of what they have thanx to the internet & tv. Not to mention that more & more people are scouring out of the way places for cool finds like that.
