Life New Modem...Well Maybe. - Page 2

So my Motorola modem, courtesy of AT&T, shot craps last night.
I got up, called them and was pleasantly greeted with news that it was freshly out of warranty.
Much to my chagrin, I went and bought a new one on my lunch hour.

I get home from work...And what do you know...the old one's working again.

I know I can take the newly-purchased modem back to Best Buy, but will they take the 2-year protection plan I bought for it back?

I'm almost wary of the "all is well" old modem though.
Suppose this is just an intermittent functional spell?

Thoughts?

I'm with Century Link, just ditched AT&T for cell phones though. Got tired of their BS. I'll probably buy a modem soon, just haven't gotten around to don't it yet.
