I have a friend (Packer fan) who asked me to recommend a place for his daughter to run, when she visits KC next month. I guess she is an avid runner and will be staying at the Sheraton Hotel @ Crown Center.

I don't even know enough about running to ask her the right questions, nor am I familiar with the surroundings in the area of that hotel.

Your help is appreciated, and no I don't have pictures of his daughter.

Yeah, even in the rain they have alot of joggers out here. She shouldn't have to go to far.

I may be a little late here, but if she is an avid runner, she may want to do an actual course. Depending on how far she wants to go, she could do the Hospital Hill 1/2 marathon course. It's one of the most difficult 1/2 marathons and starts at Crown Center. They also have the 10K and 5K courses.

Loose park is pretty, but not very big so it gets repetitive. The trolley trail is in the same general vicinity and is reasonably scenic. It's packed gravel in most areas, so it's solid footing but not as harsh as running on concrete. Here's a map:

As some stated earlier, there are trails in Southern KC that are great. Between the Indian Creek trail and Tomahawk Creek trail, there's 30ish miles of continuous trail in JoCo.

Really depends how fast she is. The faster she is, the further east she can go.
