Bieniemy definitely gone after this year
Enjoy him while you can. Sirius radio made mention that 3 teams are already researching him.
Gonna guess that’s the Jets, Lions and Bengals.

EB should go for Detroit (decent talent on both sides and an owner that doesn't fire too often) or Jacksonville (tons of picks and cap room). Id also consider Atlanta since the owner is open to trading those pricey vets and will likely give you time to work. All of these teams will be in striking distance of Lawrence or at least can grab Fields or the other kid from N Dakota St. |

Chargers should can Lynn and hire EB. That would be a smart move.

Ultimately, what EB should is wait and see who lands in the top 5 of the draft and go from there. |

I was thinking that. His contract is huge and he is like 30 so it depends. 1st might be too much but a 2nd seems reasonable if he stays healthy this year and regains his old form.

But what I find more disappointing is that they are burying the lead. EB is a natural born leader of men. He’s a taskmaster and disciplinarian who inspires loyalty and gets the best out of his players. He was born to be a head coach, IMO. No doubt he has benefitted from being OC in Reid’s system, which will get him a job. But the personal traits he brings to the table will be why he succeeds. The bonus for any team considering him is that he is coming from the Reid coaching tree, which is far more accomplished than any other. Andy is a teacher of coaches as much as he is players. |

EB is gone. I think Atlanta is the perfect situation for him, but think Detroit or Houston also work. Other guys who will get jobs will be Brian Daboll (Bills OC) and Arthur Smith (Titans OC). Mike Kafka is the only coach in KC that would concern me leaving, but the dude is only 33 and I think he would want and need to have the experience of being the OC for a Mahomes led team before jumping into the deep end. Thankful that Spags has already had two shots at being a HC, and while House and Daly are super talented, I think they're overshadowed a bit by the Chiefs offense, so hopefully we can hold on to them for a few more years. Plus defensive coaches are not really a hot trend any more. |

Doubtful. I’ll bet Lynn gets another year. He’s a good coach and the Chargers are playing decent. Plus they are competitive with a rookie QB.

Lots of good discussion in this thread.
I’d agree that a lot of the jobs available are ass. With Houston being the ass-eist of all the ass. That being said, good teams don’t have vacancies. What are the ones that have? Chin leaving Pitt? Maybe Dungy getting canned because he’s a quieter Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards? Tuna retiring from the Cowbitches? The list is short. If I were Bienemy I’d demand input on the GM. And for those shit franchises in cap hell I am demanding a 10 year contract tract. Quote:

There was something reeruned like 6 or 8 dudes that could play when Reid took over. Granted a couple were really good, but that team was a steaming hot manure pile. Seriously. Look at that roster. Most of the dudes that got cut never played another down. Dorsey (whether you like him or not) and his staff did an all time job un****ing that roster. And our cap was shit the next year on account of it. Reid and company earned their money after a decade in the doldrums Helmed by Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards and Scott Franchise Killer Pioli. |

The only reason the Cap will be an issues for the Texans is the Covid-19 revenue hit and cap reduction. Normal Cap, no real issues. But that is most of the NFL.
I don't think y'all pay attention to the Texans. Texans don't have a bunch bad contracts. Much of the money is not guaranteed after this year. Cooks has none, David Johnson can be cut. LB McKinney will probably be traded. By 2022 draft, the Texans are in great shape contract-wise and have all their draft choices. There is talent on the Texans now, they just need someone that is NOT Bill O'Brien. Eric Bieniemy is the #1 choice of the fans. We will see who the GM will be. Easterby is a placeholder. Whoever the GM that is hired, will have all the power. Easterby may be let go after season or he will go back to his VP position....non-on field football affairs....or whatever. No mention of Tunsil's contract.
And Jack Easterby won't get in the way - he'll go back to being Vice President of Football Operations. |
