Contract Offered? This guys says so.
The Kansas City Chiefs apparently are not wasting any time in their pursuit of Peyton Manning.
The team that took on Joe Montana in the twilight of his career is apparently hoping for the same type of short-term revival with Manning, as radio host Brandon Spano reports, citing a source, that the Chiefs have already prepared a contract offer for the quarterback who has been on the open market less than 24 hours after officially clearing waivers on Thursday. Of course, the Chiefs have plenty of competition for Manning, and it remains to be seen if the interest is mutual. But the Chiefs are apparently being among the most proactive of the Manning hopefuls.
