I don’t see much talk about Pacheatcode becoming the new #1

Everybody was pounding the table for Clyde—their favorite player to hate—to be demoted. And what do you know. The very next week, Andy gave you your wish. Yet nobody cares?

Let the reign of Pacheatcode begin.

If you watched the game it was pretty clear saying he is #1 was nothing more than fodder.

The Chiefs went down by 10 early and you didn't really see Pacheco again til the second half.

All he did was start, that doesn't make him RB1.

Yep. First hint of adversity and CEH was right back in there.

I thought I read that he only got like 9 offensive snaps yesterday. And he carried the ball on 8 of those. I was obviously happy to get the TD on that run of CEH, but I also cringed thinking that leads to him continuing to get a bigger share of the snaps. I know we're not ever going to flat out bench Clyde, but I'd like to never see him get the ball in a 3rd and short situation ever again. I'm 100% done watching him run into the back of our lineman and just stop.

McKinnon is typically the runner in on 3rd down, so....

He is a 7th round pick and nothing more than a JAG.

McKinnon is the best RB on this team right now.

We dont have a best RB on this team. They are all JAGs that interchange usefulness given the play call.

True. I guess I should've said any down and short to go. Or even any down period I'm really just sick of seeing him dance around in the backfield, miss holes, run into a pile and fall, etc.

The only difference between CEH and the guy you are pining for yesterday was that Pacheco hit a big hole on the left side for 17 yards and CEH hit a big hole on the right side that was 16 yards because the 16th yard was the end zone. Also, CEH did it when we were trailing and Pacheco was taken off the field until we were leading.

First short yardage play we went right back to MEH.

Who, predictably, had a massive hole he jumped OUT of so he could slam into his O-Lineman and not pick up the first.

I screen captured the hole and just shook my head at it. I don't usually think those snapshot images are all that fair, but man - at the handoff there was a GIANT lane in front of him and he needed one stinking yard. And he bounced into his lineman instead.

He's just really damn bad.

I'm not pining for Pacheco. And I'm not sure I agree with your analysis here. One guy has carried the ball 350+ times over a couple seasons and behind different lines. I feel like we have a decent body of evidence that he's average to below average. Catches the ball fine out of the backfield, but not someone who makes chicken salad out of chicken shit.

The other two seem to both 1) run harder and 2) have better vision. Albeit a small sample size for Pacheco. My only point was that I'm pretty sure after seeing the offensive snap distribution yesterday, the Chiefs (Andy) are not ready to get to a 50-50 committee, let alone make Pacheco the starter.
