Ok guys, had a conversation with my wife this morning that got my blood boiling. I think I need some blood pressure meds right now. Anyhow, so last Friday night, my 9 yo daughter was invited to a sleep over with some friends from her dance studio. They are all about the same age. The mother hosting the event is fairly involved in the dance studio functions. During the sleepover, the mover had a couple of girl friends over and they had some drinks and did jello shots. I know this because the dumbass posted it on facebook. Here's the bad part. They offered a jello shot to the girls. My daughter says MOST of them, including her didn't want one, but I'm just finding out about this incident this morning, and I'm ****ing livid. I went on her facebook, but decided I didn't want to piss my wife off and make my life hell, so I didn't try to "friend" her or message her in any way. My wife insists that she is going to talk to the dance studio about it, but is asking for me to not get involved. This is the type of behavior that turns little girls into pole dancing sluts. Let the wife handle it. I would be pissed too but let her deal with it if at all possible.

Its a mom to mom kind of issue.

1. Collect any evidence you can of the event (screen shots, testimony, etc.)
2. Call the police

Just reinforce with your daughter that she made the right decision and let your wife handle the lady business.

If dance mom has a husband, he's fair game for a headlock.

I'd definitely address it - but I'd go outside of FB to do so.

Talk to the woman rationally, first. It's possible that they made some regular jello for the girls and were just playing around. I remember my aunt serving us champagne when we were that age and watching us get "drunk" off of sparkling grape juice.

Let your do the talking but be there when the conversation occurs. This is your child and you get a say in how this is resolved.

But, and most importantly, praise your daughter for doing the right thing as KCUnited said. Sounds like you are raising a good kid there tooge. Her choice should be praised by you and her mom.

I guess that is entirely possible, but we do as we see, and I don't think it is apropriate to do that in front of little girls. For right now, I'm letting mom handle it, but I'm pretty pissed off and don't think women handle things the way they need to be handled all the time.

thank you. That is the plan. I am going to sit down with her tonight and have a chat about it and how the other mother made a mistake (and should be choked out) and that she did the right thing.

- What you did was wrong
- Don't ever do it again
- If you do and I find out I'm calling the cops.
