We aren't going to get any picks for Alex now........

He's done. He has no value.

Why would any team want to trade picks for him?

Good. This franchise needs to learn trading for game managers is a sunk cost and there's no recovery from it. You shit your bed, now you get to lie in it, ****s.

Even if he finishes this season playing the way he has the past five games, he'd still get us picks.

They wouldn't be 1sts, though.

The idea of getting multiple top 100 picks for Smith waa fantastical given his age and track record.

They might get a high second if the season persists as it look like it might and they finish 11-5/10-6. Dunno how you can justify any higher barring a 180 turnaround in play from the last five weeks.

Cleveland somehow still exists as a franchise, so there's hope.

They will get something for him. The NFL is lacking QB's right now.

I disagree. And another reason to bench him now is his value is only going to go down at the point.

Why would a team want to pay him for the last year on the current contract? He provides nothing close to the investment.

I think he will get released and the Chiefs will end up holding nothing but their dicks in their hand.

Mike Glennon got paid $15 million. Alex Smith would get paid that much by someone and we'd get a 3rd rd comp.

I don't know anymore. It's more of a tragic story now.

He showed us so much promise. The bad pass protection has gotten to his head, and now he isn't confident even when there is great protection.

I look at this year's Alex as a wasted opportunity in multiple ways.

Only the Chiefs trade for a benched QB. At least they have eliminated themselves from the running this time.
