Why would a team want to pay him for the last year on the current contract? He provides nothing close to the investment.

I think he will get released and the Chiefs will end up holding nothing but their dicks in their hand.

Mike Glennon got paid $15 million. Alex Smith would get paid that much by someone and we'd get a 3rd rd comp.

Nah. Look at it one other way. Alex and the Chiefs gave us a few highs.. while we spent a good while developing the QbotF. I truly think these months have been a benefit for Mahomes.. and other younger players.

Time's up, though.

Andy Reid has to make the hard call... that's not so hard anymore.
