I will just say from 2nd hand knowledge that Clark has been itching for a chance to make his own mark in the league. He realizes the large shadow his father casts on NFL greatness and don't be surprised to see him loosen the purse strings and shake things up FO or otherwise to make his own path.
You can take the info for what its worth, but given my info, I'm happily anticipating to see what unfolds.

I don't know him well enough to pass any judgments, but the fact that he's younger I would anticipate he'd be willing to take greater risks.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him fire Peterson and get "his" inherited franchise off on "his" foot while remaining true to his father's vision. He's been around the NFL long enough to know who's who and what he wants. If he doesn't remove Peterson, then I at least envision him being a lot more tighter on Peterson than his father was. I certainly don't expect him to resign Peterson.

Does anyone think Carl might just drop the GM role and move to President/CEO on his on will ??? Wouldn't he still "make" good money instead of doing all the work "making" the money ???

While I won't say he will push Peterson out, b/c the fact is the guy is genius. You don't fire a 2 time NFL Exec of the Year. In my times dealing with Carl, the guy is completely standup and one of the straight shooters in terms of dealing with NFL front offices. He gets neg rep from KC media, but the guy could care less b/c he has the ultimate respect from his collegues and the NFL in general.
He will most likely shake up those evaluate talent, spend on FA signings on a year to year basis as opposed to the on off BS we've had, and I know he is MUCH MUCH hungrier to get his own hardware. Its all and good to be a Hunt in the NFL, but he wants this place not only an also ran with alot of roots in the AFL / NFL lore and being boasted as the "best stadium / fans / tailgate/ etc..." He's not gonna go Jerry Jones style or Snyder style. If I had to liken him to anyone, I'd say he fits more in line with Bowlen. Wants a winner- will pay for it, and expects his teams to be modeled after as the apex of NFL franchises.

Carl is great at the BIDNESS side of things, from what I've heard from locals in KC, he's a grade A prick.
But I'm from Joplin, and we might have a looser definition of prick. |

Naptown,
Next time you deal with any NFL front offices and agents by all means tell me how. Going off my personal day to day dealings with those that work for the NFL, every team's front office, and all but about 5% of the NFL's players agents, I will tell you that while CP may not be "baby jesus" he is well respected and liked. The "bidz-ness" may not be as Jerry McGuire / fairy tale as you may like, and I'm sorry that what’s reported in the media by beat reporters and columnists isn't all daisies, but I would vouch for the man's competence as an NFL exec. any AND every day of the week. Just b/c we've suffered through a shit streak of not making it and a run of heartbreak playoff-wise does not mean the guy isn't more than qualified. People around here act as if he has carte blanch to do as he pleases, not so.
