Vasectomy: Anyone on the planet had one?

Thinking about getting one. My wife and I have 3 kids and not sure if we want more. Anyone had one done and is it painful?

We've conducted similar threads in the past. Surprisingly, everybody on the Planet had great experiences with theirs. However, every person I know in the non-virtual world had some complications. I don't think it's going to be an option for me due to that.

Oh stop being a whimp, I had pain for two weeks and then it was gone. If you follow your doctors orders and don't try and have sex it will be over in two weeks. The part i really like is clearing you remaining swimmers. The Doctor wrote me a presciption for sex with 25 refills. I loved the look on my wifes face when she saw that. I had six weeks to fill the prescriptions.

I guy I work with said he was humpin' the next day which we know is bullshit.

Anyway, don't you have to go back to the doctor to release a few "batches" before they will clear you for some booty?

Yep. And I was still loaded for bear in 3 separate, ahem, 'specimens' spread out over a month, before my man juice became barren of swimmers.
Definately don't let 'er loose inside until ya get the All Clear from doc.

Yes it's true...the doctor wants you to get rid of your baby makers....so that means lots of sex and taking a sample into the doctor to be tested until it comes back with no baby makers.....might take one trip or might take 4 trips.

Heh, it seems we have one of these threads every few months. The thing that hurts is when they have to stick the needle in your sack several times to inject anesthesia. Once they get enough in there, the actual procedure shouldn't hurt. It took me 10 days for the pain to completely go away. Had to call the doc and ask for another prescription for painkillers. Use bags of frozen veggies to sit on to keep from swelling up.

Of course, there is always the possibility that your testicles could swell up to the size of a grapefruit. But I don't think that's very common. Most of the time, this procedure goes off without a hitch. Don't be a sissy, get it done.
