Who is going to state fair????
"Our state fair it's a great state fair, don't miss it, don't even be late"
Have lived in Kansas 30 years and have been every year. (3 hour drive)
I proposed to my wife on "The old mill". I love the beer garden and fried green tomatoes. They fry everything ! I hear this year they will have fried beer !
Who is going and what are your favorite parts of STATE FAIR ?

We have family reunions there its always a fun filled time.

You gotta love the funnel cakes and corn dogs, my brother in law at 30 of them one time and sicker then a dog afterwards.

It's always the little brother or the brother in law..I don't think we have state fairs in Louisiana..In New Orleans and surrounding areas it seems like there is a festival every weekend. Food, music and arts and crafts.

Yep. My bad, I guess it was in August. Man the summer went by fast.

I would like to check out the Kansas one as well. Kansas gets a bad rap for being flat and boring- which some of it is - but it has a lot of pretty parts in the southern area too.

Grew up right next to it. State Fair week was always hell week when I worked at restaurants in the area - but it was always a good time.

Pronto Pups, the Old Mill, and Fried Green Tomatoes. Good stuff. The fairgrounds was always where our prom/afterprom was held too.
