The only correlation would be those that have good balance of quickness, speed and instincts get where they need to be and the others don't. It doesn't have $hit to do with "hips"....unless they need a replacement.

It's called.....balance.
A player that is not fluid in their hips has a tendency to become unbalanced in their motions, which causes stumbles, lost steps, out of position, etc. etc... |
