We stand by our filmmakers and their right to free expression and are extremely disappointed by this outcome."

Well, IMO, it was stupid for Sony to allow the film to be made using a real-life dictator, especially when said dictator has shaky relations with the US and Japan.

Kind of like that Red Dawn remake a couple years ago. The invading country was originally supposed to be China but they chickened out and made it North Korea instead.
