Don't you think the leader of China or even Putin would be outraged if Sony would have greenlit a movie about assassinating either? The whole idea of using a real life person was just a bad idea.

Kind of like that Red Dawn remake a couple years ago. The invading country was originally supposed to be China but they chickened out and made it North Korea instead.
