Am I crazy for not liking the decision to go deep to Hill?

I’m actually not thrilled at that play.

And I think it’s honestly the difference between Mahomes (who’s great) and Brady (who is the greatest).

Brady will take that dump off to Williams 10 times out of 10 until defenses play it honestly. Chew up 7 yards at a time, never take a risk, and control the game. Next time Hill is open, the odds of another defender cheating deep to punish him will be low.

Mahomes is an ambitious predator, always looking for the kill shot. But he did it at the expense of Hill’s health here.

Sometimes the kill shot is there, but the dump off is always there and Brady will always take it. That’s why he’s so consistent in the postseason, where risky behavior can kill you as often as it wins for you.

I think i understand his point. But then I remember why we watch sports and why people pay good money to watch. To see amazing athletes perform at the highest level and hope to see plays that maybe 2-3 people on the planet can make.

If this had fallen incomplete, the outrage would have been on par with the shot to Hardman that fell incomplete and Kelce was wide open.

Complete the play, some people still have a stick up their ass about passing up the gimme yardage.

Miss it, and your quarterback is a flash in the pan gimmick whose legitimacy is questioned.

It's hilarious.

It is how most fans are. I have had this debate with Raiders fans. It is not about philosophy for most fans. It is about results. If dink and dunk works, they are happy. If deep passing works, they love it.

Just win and most people are happy.

Obviously, exceptions exist.

That decision was fine. There was another, though, where he could have fallen forward for a first down and threw deep to Reek, which resulted in a PI. I'm glad it worked out, but I would have taken the first down in real time.

Yeah, the idea there was he saw the flag and knew it was holding on the defense so he took the shot. Otherwise, I agree, you run for it there cause he had the 1st down easy.

This is an offense that was really struggling with 2nd half scoring

6 vs NYG, 0 vs. GB, 3 vs. Dallas…

Glad to see the offense still being aggressive and looking for opportunities even with a big lead. Very rare from the Reid era Chiefs, but it allows us to bury teams.

Herbert threw some 50/50 balls against Cinci that worked out for him....some could have easily gone the other way but it is what it is.

The fact Patrick took that shot when he did actually felt good. It didn't feel forced or panicked. He had time, he knew he had time and really had 0 to lose on the deal.
