Who cares?
Chiefs were up 21-3 and should have been up either 24-10 or 28-10 going into the half and then proceeded to shit down their leg in epic fashion. It was like they were channeling the Atlanta Falcons from the Super Bowl a few years back. Just awful. They deserved to lose regardless of some stupid fumble/non-fumble on a technicality. They blew it. End of story. |

He was tripped up and fell to the ground, then jumped up assuming he'd been tackled. Where in the **** does giving himself up fall into that? Thinking you got tackled and then celebrating is not giving yourself up. Giving yourself up must be voluntary with no outside contact and in the normal field of play. That wasn't this. If he were touched by the Chiefs defender, it counts as down. That is unclear, which is why I said it wouldn't be overturned, but he DEFINITELY did not give himself up under any definition of the rule.

He fell to the ground. He clearly made no immediate effort to advance, given he got up and tossed the ball in order to celebrate. He was on the ground. He was either down by contact, or he was down by virtue of his "clearly making no immediate effort to advance." Either way, he was down. |

I think he fumbled. 70 CIN bumps into him which causes him to lose his balance and trip, and when he goes down 84 CIN falls over the top of him, and no Chief actually touches him up to that point. Then he gets up and throws the ball down. That should be a live ball.
