Cowboys will release Amari Cooper

Damn. Would be amazing if this guy wants to chill with Mahomes for a year and build his reputation.

He's also the guy that really turned the Cowboys offense around when they acquired him.

Let's face it - consistency is nice, but with Hill and Kelce on the field, it isn't vital. And do you think he's a guy who's going to check out in the post-season when we really need him?

But I think it's all moot because I'm just not willing to make the financials work with him.

Who gets a bigger contract? Amari Cooper or Allen Robinson?

Cooper isn't going to get that much but he's likely to get close to Tyreek money (assuming Tyreek gets a new contract soon) and that's not doable considering all the other needs we have.

You can pretty much write him down for 15 games and 1,000 yards. He has that one season in Oakland where he just vapor locked and dropped everything thrown his way. Then last year they were really trying to spread the ball around with Cooper, Lamb, Schultz and Gallup/Wilson in the Y getting over 100 targets. Pollard/Elliott got 100 targets as well.

I mean would any of us really turn up our noses at a 70% catch rate and 70 receptions for 900 yards out of our #2 receiver? What the hell are you looking for if not THAT guy?

Cooper would be very nice fit here. He's a great route runner, gets strong separation, is willing to be physical and can run after the catch. He's not Lou Gehrig out there but he IS usually healthy.

He checks a TON of boxes. I think too many Chiefs fans are just conditioned to shit on anything Raider (and Cowboy, for that matter) so they're not giving him his due credit.
My thoughts exactly- he is a better version of what Sammy Watkins brought to this team.

Yes. He's a heartless pussy. Only really shows up against bad teams. Have a close look at his game logs.

Much better when you factor in health and mental toughness. He is by all accounts a great locker room guy to.

Check his green bag game first year in Dallas and get back to me, or Rams year before last.

Again this is with Dak throwing to him. His route running is amazing and going over the middle is ok with him. He is a perfect compliment to Hill

Or Week 1 against the Bucs this last season.

Raiders fans are just pissed that he didn't work out for them.

In his 3 playoff games in Dallas he's gone for 19 catches for 235 yards and 2 scores on 28 targets.

Pro-rate it over 16 games (it's just more intuitive than 17) and you're looking at a 1,250 yard receiver on at 68% catch rate w/ 11 touchdowns.

Yeah - real piece of shit, that guy.

I watch quite a bit of Cowboys football (thank to my late FIL) and Cooper is fearless. The guy has no problems operating in traffic and making tough catches.

He'd be nails in this offense, opposite Hill. I just don't think it's worth the amount of money he'll likely command.

Then you sign the WR. I know this shit. I was really good at Madden 08. Trust me. I took the Mexico City Flying Squirrels to back-to-back-to-back-to-back-back Super Bowls on intermediate mode.

So you're suggesting that we let OBJ walk and sign Cooper with that money?

Anybody that didn't move their team to the cash machine that was Mexico City just wasn't doing it right.

Mexico City was a goldmine.

Out of all the WRs out there he would be by far the best fit
