What are the weakest positions going into the new season?

In my opinion you could pick any position on D but we are really weak at DE. Honestly doesn't fill me with any confidence going into this season.

DL is so weak I fear it will make the secondary seem weak too. We desperately need to make a move there.

KC's two biggest roster holes

DE

Frank Clark, George Karlaftis, Mike Danna, Joshua Kaindoh, Malik Herring,
and Austin Edwards.

We needed two and we got one in George Karlaftis, and we hope for Kaindoh or Herring to improve.

DTs

Chris Jones, Khalen Saunders, Tershawn Wharton, Derrick Nnadi, Taylor Stallworth, Cortez Broughton, and Darius Stills

We still need one more good DT.

Maybe a trade or a free agent signing is still on the way.

Yes.

It was in 2020, not 21.

Almost solely a result of his recent injury history. He could have got a 3yr deal but hes betting on himself to be productive and not injured.

Yeah I figured.

I like Juju as a number two, but him as a #1 is going to be a hard sell. He got out produced in 2020 and 2021 by Claypool and Johnson. He really seems like a guy who relies on someone else taking the attention away from him to be really good. Hopefully Kelce can do that but we'll have to see.

LT - is and should absolutely be the biggest concern until Brown signs the tag and reports to the team. The currently rostered alternatives offer little to no solace.

I don't care about the #1 2 3 stuff as much anymore now that they have Mahomes here and Andy.

Yeah, I'd love to have Tyreek still out there, but it is what it is.

Give me a bunch of guys that are talented and let Andy and Pat be force multiplier.

Where's our man coverage beater at WR? At the moment there's no WR on the roster who a defense will be afraid to leave 1v1.
Conversely, any NFL receiver should be capable of beating 1v1 coverage as often as not. With Kelce and 3 WR in pattern, someone will normally be open. It's an odds game, then up to Mahomes to find the open guy. We'll be fine.

DL is bad, yes, and Frank Clark does still ****ing suck, and our depth is shaky particularly at DE, but Karlaftis is going to beast this year.

I kind of want to over/under bet somebody on his sack totals

I think your concerns stem from the fact you have little faith in juju and scantling. Personally when I watched scantling with Green Bay I really wondered why they didn’t use him more he was 6 4 and he seemed to always be clutch when a ball was thrown his way. I guess that’s just what happens when you have Adam as your #1 and then Lazard being an off field besty with Rodgers.

And juju, I still think his best days are ahead of him with the chiefs. He’s only 25 keep that in mind… he’s a physical type player that talks the shit…

I get you want that 1 guy to be able to make a difference but we seen early on last year people take away kelce and hill and we kept saying we need someone else to step up and make plays other than hill… now you’re going backwards saying you wish it was like before because hill would make the plays. The truth is sometimes he wouldn’t and he’d be non existent from time to time.

We have a much better well rounded wr corps that has probably completely changed our playbook and teams won’t look at us as one dimensional.
