What is Trevor Lawrence worth?

I think this kid is the next "generational" QB along with Mahomes....albeit different playing styles. I really hope he gets drafted to the NFC.

His highlight reel...in which he's a freshman, is pretty fantastic. To play like that, a year removed from high school,...yikes.

What is he worth in draft capital?...hypothetically, if the #1 (drafting) team just chose a top QB the year before?

Two entire drafts? 3-4 first round picks?

What would Mahomes go for...if teams knew he was a 50 TD QB?

A generational QB can define your franchise....for like 15 years.

Lawrence always ticked all of the boxes because of the things that you can't measure. He's been a leader on the field his whole life. He's got the measurables ENOUGH to not have a weakness. And now that he's got a good coach, he's going to be a pain in the ass for the AFC and the NFL in general.

But you can claim all the 'QB guru' shit you want, you just look foolish pumping up Wilson when you just saw Lawrence deal with the worst first quarter in play-off history and then bring his team back to win.

I think you're pulling from various different posts and thought processes to reach that incorrect conclusion.

I've said they're a competent QB away from being a good team, and I think that's true.

I think White is better than Wilson for a lot of reasons, none of which are about 'arm talent' which is apparently all you look at.

I never crowned Mike White as some excellent QB. I said the Jets should play him, because he was a much better option than punk-assed Wilson.

I've said since the Wilson situation exploded that they ought to look at Minshew this off-season. I think he'd be a good fit for that offense.

So I don't see how I was crowning Mike White when I was simultaneously arguing that they ought to sign Minshew.

And I'd much rather have Trevor Lawrence than Zach Wilson.

I certainly wouldn't bet against him making another jump next year, and the next jump would be to elite status. I see no reason at all why that wouldn't be likely.

It gets thrown around as an insult, but what it actually means is 'competency'. As in the QB can run the offensive scheme as it's designed, and do so efficiently.

It's also the hardest thing to project from QB's in the draft. Will they be able to do it? Manage the offense, manage the game?

Zach Wilson can't do it. Mike White is better at it, and that's sad considering the gap in physical ability between the two.

Nope, Lawrence doesn't have those qualities. He has good physical tools but doesn't see the football field like a Mahomes or a Burrow.

Burrow was a one year wonder in college. I had doubts. Lawrence was the more experienced prospect. No question.
