It gets thrown around as an insult, but what it actually means is 'competency'. As in the QB can run the offensive scheme as it's designed, and do so efficiently.
It's also the hardest thing to project from QB's in the draft. Will they be able to do it? Manage the offense, manage the game?
Zach Wilson can't do it. Mike White is better at it, and that's sad considering the gap in physical ability between the two.
Why the hell is Brock Purdy good at it, and Trey Lance sucks at it?
It's why Tom Brady-who was never an athletic marvel at ANYTHING football related has two hands full of rings.
Processing speed. Football intelligence. Anticipation. Accuracy. And then there are the intangibles. Are they a leader? That's something guys either have or don't. Fairly or not, these are the things that determine whether a QB is going to make it in the NFL, not arm talent.
Lawrence has all of those things, and is good enough athletically to not have an obvious limitation.
Zach Wilson has the physical abilities, but none of the things that make for great QB's. Like Josh Rosen. Like Ryan Leaf.

Nope, Lawrence doesn't have those qualities. He has good physical tools but doesn't see the football field like a Mahomes or a Burrow.
Pedersen did a wonderful job covering up those flaws but Spags going to expose those flaws this week.
