Yes. He hit a home run with drafting Creed Humphries. Huge position of need and he feel in to our laps. Smith was a find, but he's not the Pro-Bowl guard you make him out to be. I love the guy, with Creed they provide a lot of nasty that was lacking in the trenches.

But I also think they signing of Taylor and Smith were shrewd. Again, Veach threw out conventional wisdom when he gave huge money to a RT. Its very similar to what he did with Thuney. And Smith, while not perfect, is a much better investment than Hopkins and OBJ. Nice stop gap that allows the Chiefs to compete for another championship while giving them more time to find the solution at LT.

Also don't forget he had the balls to let Orlando Brown Jr walk. Bad GMs just give him the money.
Trey Smith was literally a Pro Bowl alternate multiple years. So I don't know what you're saying. And the Smith signing was fantastic.

Starting off with "what has Veach done though?" didn't do you any favors.

It wasn't "nuanced". Just another bad take from you. He's responsible for all 5 starters. He built the entire OL.

Agree.

After re-reading it I think I agree with what you said.

Veach has been amazing. Very creative.

I cannot believe what the guy has done. He's reshaped entire positional units in short time with efficiency and financial responsibility.

Our OL was ****ed at the end of 2020. He rebuilt it into an elite unit.
Our LB's were terrible in 2020/2021. Veach has turned it into one of the better LB units in the league.
The secondary was torn down and rebuilt in one off-season.

Now it's slowly looking like he's building a good DL around Chris Jones as insurance.

That's what I'm not afraid of trading Chris Jones. That's how much trust I have in the guy and our staff in general.

Not my fault if you're incapable of taking the totality of an argument a post is making.

He gets credit for all five starters and the backups, by the way. He's the one who signed them all.

I just think some of those accomplishments are more notable than others. Thuney/Taylor are the kinds of big splash moves that GMs make every offseason, and while he deserves credit for them, both are pretty standard moves.

The other three starting spots had a much, much higher degree of difficulty.

You guys, I swear.

Direckshun: Veach did an incredible job landing 3/5 of the starters.

It's like he purposely contradicted himself so he would get a certain response and then play stupid.

It's a shame that Nazareth Johnson got hurt bc he was gonna be a player from what he heard through all of camp.

I have been accused of many, many things. But a lack of effective elucidation has rarely been among the accusations.

But you place me among the hypersensitive manchildren of ChiefsPlanet and I magically begin tripping wires with every other post.

What can you do.
