Anyone wanna bet on another team?

I have to say that the Lakers having won 10 straight seem to be better than any of the last championship teams. Not only that but they are relaxed and having fun like none of the other teams ever have. It's weird watching Kobe joking with Shaq and Carl and Payton. The confidence is just oozing out of their pours. It's like they already know they have won it all. The D is playing great. Offensive boards are off the scale. This team has just beginning to gel and they are already unbeatable IMO. The only thing that can stop them now is a major injury or two.

I would say the same for the Lakers, but honestly, I don't hate them nearly as much as the Jets, Yankees, Dolphins, and probably another team or two I can think of.

Part of it is that I actually like/respect many former Laker players. I've seriously disliked a few, but not all.

But for B-ball, I hate them and the Sixers, and that's about it for teams I dislike. I seriously dislike the Knicks, but they haven't been worthy of enough respect to hate...

Gasol took a shitty ass Memphis team to the play offs on his back. Gasol is not even close to the player Garnett is. Gasol is a European finesse player. He's all offensive with limited defensive skills. He fits perfectly into the Lakers line-up. Once Bynum starts again, he's going to be moved to power forward and Bynum can play some defense in the middle. He may even start playing as soon as Sunday. Also, you have to give Bynum a little bit of time. He's only 20 years old for god sake. He's going to be one of the All time Laker greats when his career is all said and done. Before he got hurt. He was starting to be a 20-10 guy. Remember 20 years old.

You weren't even factually correct, dumbass. Pierce, Allen, and Garnett have all made it to Conference Finals.

I haven't followed the Celtics closely since the Bird era, but didn't they make the East championship round with Pierce a few years back?

And, P.S., your logic is very weak IMHO. Not just as to the Celtics, but any team. On your logic, the Pats crush the Giants in the SB, Peyton never wins a SB, etc. etc. It just doesn't work in the real world.

Who? The Celtics? As a Laker fan I haven't thought of them, yet, hated them for more than 20 years.

It is like when I was young and the Dodgers main rivalry was the Braves. Who were the Giants? Who are they now?

When teams who were a rivalry suck...the rivalry is cheapened

Whoever comes out of the West will have travelled a tough road. I wish the NBA was like The Premiere League Soccer and teams that didn't do well would be bounced down. In tbis case it would be the entire Eastern Division except the Celts (only because of a couple WC defections.)

Those pix were from a loss to a NBA quality team. Most likely NBA Finals (Best of The Best.)
