I'm not sure what they cost, ours was installed when we built the house. However, huge difference when it's shut down in the winter. I crank it up at times and it makes the house feel much warmer at lower temps. We have the honeywell add on attached to a Lennox furnace . BTW Saul, our house is a story and 1/2 and around 2200 square feet.

It's a 3-4 hour job, typically. So, $150-250 roughly for an actual HVAC tech plus the cost of the humidifier which is anywhere from $100 up to $500. We installed one for one of my friends last fall for $100 but that was the very close friend, wives = BFF deal.
