Pioli's offseason.

* He franchised Hali at the start of it.

* He drafted the following:
1. WR Jonathan Baldwin + a 3rd
2. C Rodney Hudson
3. OLB Justin Houston
3. DE Allen Bailey
4. CB Jalil Brown
5. QB Ricky Stanzi
5. OLB Gabe Miller
6. NT Jerrell Powe
7. FB Shane Bannon
* Vrabel retires. (Pioli's commitment to youth at OLB at least a contributing factor.)

* Signed Casey Wiegmann.

* Brought in a dozen UDFAs, including three people I would imagine will make the roster: DE Brandon Bair, OT David Mims, and KR Demond Washington.

* Signed Steve Breaston.

* Brought back Battle, Cox, Copper, Pope, O'Callaghan, Daniels, McGraw, and Langford.

* Brought every rookie but Houston into camp on time.

* Richardson, Gilberry will sign their tenders. Carr is holding out as of this moment.

* Signed Kelly Gregg.

* Sign LeRon McClain.

* Locked up Hali long term.

This is a typical offseason for Pioli. Discipline, discipline, discipline, and hold out for value at every turn.

As a result, we can say that this team has been moderately improved for 2011 by these moves alone, but that the biggest improvement will be for all this youth to see the field and as it improves, the sky's the limit.

Bravo.

Can compete this year if a few things go right (Someone else provides a pass rush besides Tamba, The tackles hold up, and Matt Cassel). Setup nicely for 2012.

I know it's popular to an extent to bash guys that are totally on board with Pioli around here, but I'm sorry. It's just too easy.

The guy, despite some questionable/poor decisions here or there, has consistently improved this team at every turn. We keep getting better and I am more excited now than ever. This offseason was ****ing great. Sure, there are parts of my wishlist left unchecked, but Pioli has done a good enough job so far to earn some credit.

There are a bunch of questions this year facing such a brutal schedule, but I can't wait to see how these guys measure up against the league's best. **** I can't wait for this season to start.

No complaints, the kind of signings I expect, so far, but still incomplete; needs a bit of o-line depth, I think.

As well as Pioli has done. Clark has to be on the lookout for his replacement. It's the nature of the beast. Or you end up with Peterson, who stayed twice as long as he should have

Are you guys ready for Pioli to trade a #1 pick in year X for a 2 in year X and a 1 in year X+1?

Ready to see him constantly sliding back in the draft to get more draft picks? NOT picking the guy on the board that YOU want (and are convinced is THE difference between winning the SB and not)?

Ready to see your favorite players leave the team for more money elsewhere?

Because if he's following the BB playbook, it's gonna happen. And believe me, huge portions of the fan base will NOT be happy. Some Pats fans still bitch about it, and can list EVERY player on the board that BB didn't draft who performed very well as a pro.

heh, sometimes i think BB overthinks things and outsmarts himself instead of just doing the most obvious correct thing.
