I'm not crazy about this hire. But yes, it's the best we can make from the tree. Unless it's Mike Zimmer. But guess what? Zimmer doesn't run Pioli's defense so he's out.

Yeah, smaqe gave me the skinny on him. This makes me feel better if we do pick him. He has at least been around a pro program and has seen first hand how to handle pro players. I just don't want a Stoops or someone who has never been a part of the NFL and thinks coaching pro's is the same as coaching a group of kids.

2 problems with this though:

He's an offensive line coach
He'll start Stanzi

This means we draft OL and not a QBOTF.

Who is to say Stanzi isn't our QBOTF?

Northwestern does that to a lot of teams, ask Nebraska.

As for losing to Iowa State, it's what it is. Ferentz is all business. He's not a superior motivator, at least not in a demonstrative way. He's the anti-Paul Rhoads (or Dan McCarney) and that fire and energy has helped ISU win some games.

He's put more defensive linemen into the NFL than offensive linemen.

This is why the Chiefs drafted Stanzi, Pioli and Ferentz have had this planned since the draft.

It all makes since now

I don't get it either, Beer Me.
