You just can't roll with shit these days. Even if they throw 4 games at him to start with they could have maybe tried to ride this out, but if they just believed the kid who had heavy incentives to lie, they're ****ing dumb.

I just think it's unlikely they didn't send someone down to find out what happened.

The NFL said they tried more than once to get the video and were rebuffed. It's entirely possible that the Chiefs did send someone down to find out and the hotel simply didn't comply. After all, they're not legally obligated to provide that footage to anybody but the police.
