I wish that there was a way to "subscribe" to only the topics you were interested in, so that people who didn't want to see poop threads could just have that unchecked somewhere, and it would be like they didn't even exist.

That's what I was thinking for some topics, but wouldn't that require the thread starter to choose that topic? Or could the admin require that before the thread could be posted.
